HI. My name is Dita Rose. My husband, Thomas, and I have been leading worship together for almost 20 years. I became a believer at the age of 8 and grew up dearly in love with our Lord and Savior. I felt the call to ministry as a young child and committed my life to this calling in college. This song is a true song of my own heart. I suffered from anxiety and depression as a young adult and went through counseling to recover and heal my heart from years of family trauma and heartache. Sometimes, a simple thing such as a smell, a sound, or the simple warmth of a Fall breeze can bring back negative emotions. Although I can't fully explain this phenomenon, I know the Lord does not want me to feel despair but rather desires that I pray and cling to His everlasting peace. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 tells us, "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies." May you feel this peace today as well and may the Lord use this song for His glory in the body of Christ.
