This song was inspired by conversations with friends that I had this past week and how we’ve seen so many come and go from church and lose faith and gone silent. It’s a prodigal son song, it’s for the pastors kids and us believers in general who have let the limitations and flaws of men hinder their vision of or relationship with God. I pray this encourages you to come back home where you’ve always belonged. Where you’re free of judgment and loved beyond Like Romans 38-39 says, “And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” LYRICS: You’ve been broken, you’ve been lonely and you’ve been hurt you’ve been angry, you’ve been tired you’ve been the worst you keep searching for a reason to go on but you’ve been feeling like you’re surrounded and not by God when faith has lost its taste and you’ve run far from grace His mercy is waiting for you to come home don’t be scared He has always been here come home it’s alright He’s always been by your side come home You’ve lied awake, you’ve been betrayed, you’ve held your tongue you’ve doubted, you’ve questioned it all you keep searching for a reason to hold on, in the darkness you’ve tried to deny His song When you can’t take no more this I know for sure His never ending mercy is waiting for you to come home don’t be scared He has always been here come home it’s alright He’s always been by your side let go, let Him take control He is making you new again come home
